Probably one of the best known and recognized names when it comes to cruising, Princess Cruises has led the way when it comes innovations, from ship designs, dining, entertainment and customer service as well as itineraries. Princess ships have been sailing to the seven continents for over 40 years, but the cruise line really became a household word when  the “Love Boat” television series debuted.   Princess Cruises also  became the first cruise line to really launch the affordable balcony staterooms, which have become a mainstay of their ships, available in a wide range of stateroom categories.

Princess Cruises was also one of the first cruise lines to  introduce  some alternative dining options, including a 24-hour casual dining experience for its  cruise guests  as well as  specialty restaurants. And most of their ships have the “Anytime Dining” in addition to traditional dining. Well known for excellent entertainment, Princess Cruises’ “Movies Under the Stars”,  first launched on Coral Princess has been a tremendous success, and has been added to other ships in the fleet.

Princess Cruises has a fleet of 17 modern ships sailing to  destinations throughout the world, with cruises ranging from 7 days to 107 days. In addition to their larger ships,  they also feature “The Small Ships of Princess” which include the Pacific Princess, Royal Princess and  Ocean Princess. Each accommodating just 680 guests, these ships offer more of an unhurried cruise experience to exotic destinations.  They also have 2 new ships debuting, one in 2013 and one in 2014.

Offering some of the most expansive and global cruise itineraries, Princess Cruises and its Princess Tours division are leaders when it comes to Alaska. In addition, the Princess fleet sails to the Mediterranean and Europe, the Caribbean, New England/Canada,  Asia,  Panama Canal, as well as Australia/New Zealand, Africa, South America, Tahiti and South Pacific  as well as Hawaiian Islands.
